Full Stack Engineer (Python/React)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, operating on Eastern Time from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional travel for training and project meetings is expected at less than 5% per year.

Salary: $102,300–$114,300 annually.

What you will do

• Architect, design, build, and maintain web application features, backend services, APIs, and frontend components.
• Develop an external-facing portal for data sets, data catalogs, compute resource requests, and data access controls.
• Translate designs and wireframes into reusable, testable, and efficient React-based interfaces.
• Design data models, handle large data sets, and optimize application performance, scalability, and storage.
• Integrate applications with other platforms and support cloud deployments, monitoring, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, QA, product owners, and business analysts in Agile delivery processes.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for U.S. Federal Government public trust clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or qualify through the Foreign National Government System, including having lived in the United States for at least 3 of the previous 5 years and providing valid passport and visa/work permit documentation.
• At least 4 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline.
• Strong Python and Django experience, plus proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Expertise with Node.js and a JavaScript framework such as React or Angular.
• Experience with APIs, REST, GraphQL, JSON, databases, Docker, cloud services, Git, and AWS DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of automated testing, performance monitoring, Agile methodology, test-driven development, Jira, Confluence, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems including Active Directory, Okta, AWS IAM, and attribute-based access controls.
• Experience with Medicaid or healthcare data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
