Floater Phlebotomist (Phlebotomy)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States, with assignments at sites in Naperville, Joliet, Elk Grove Village, Oak Brook, Hoffman Estates, Palos Hills, Yorkville, Oak Park, and Munster, Indiana

Salary: $17.50–$24.50 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour float incentive and mileage reimbursement

What you will do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data accurately and process billing information and payments when needed.
• Provide patient service and complete administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel to additional collection sites as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, an accredited training program, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proven customer service record.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test and be at least 21 years old.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of phlebotomy experience.

• Monday–Friday schedule with variable first-shift hours between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., plus rotating Saturdays.
