Intern - Lab

Location: Onsite in Burlington, North Carolina; Durham, North Carolina; or Raritan, New Jersey, United States

Pay: $17.75–$22 per hour

What you will do

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with specimen organization, inventory, workspace preparation, and other non-testing laboratory tasks.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• Interest in laboratory science and the diagnostics industry.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures.
• Eagerness to learn laboratory skills and scientific concepts.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision, communicate effectively, and maintain professional conduct.
• Available for a full-time, in-person schedule from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week.

• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029, with preference for rising juniors and seniors.
