Biorepository Technician II

Location: Norton, Massachusetts, United States; onsite. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $19–$26.30 per hour

What you will do

• Perform cryopreservation, receipt, storage, inventory, retrieval, aliquoting, and shipment of biological samples.
• Reconcile specimen and shipment data in BSI, investigate discrepancies, and prepare error reports.
• Monitor freezer, refrigerator, and room temperatures and respond to freezer alarms according to standard operating procedures.
• Receive supplies, verify packing lists, quarantine raw materials for QA release, and maintain associated documentation.
• Complete outgoing shipment records, coordinate with receiving laboratories, and ship dangerous and non-dangerous goods.
• Support competency assessments, dry shipper quality control, temporary freezer inventories, and repository equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus at least two years of general work experience.
• Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with Excel and its basic functions.
• Experience with written and verbal communication, documentation, regulatory requirements such as cGMP, cGLP, or ISO, and standard operating procedures.
• Current knowledge of IATA Shipping Regulations and maintenance of related certification and standards.
• Fluent English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension required.
• Ability to lift and carry 31–50 lbs., work around temperatures from -20°C to -196°C, and perform prolonged standing, walking, and repetitive physical activities.

Nice to have

• One year of relevant laboratory experience.
• Training in aseptic technique.
