Clinical Laboratory Supervisor II (Medical Laboratory)

What you will do

• Supervise daily operations of the core laboratory at Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Medical Center and Ascension St. John Nowata.
• Ensure accurate and timely laboratory testing and reporting.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and coach laboratory personnel while maintaining adequate staffing and assay coverage.
• Investigate production errors, escalate issues when necessary, and support continuous process and service-level improvements.
• Maintain equipment quality control, quality assurance records, policies, procedures, payroll, and personnel files.
• Perform bench work as needed and ensure operations comply with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in chemical or biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology, or an applicable alternative meeting CLIA standards.
• At least four years of experience as a laboratory technician.
• Working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, relevant state regulations, laboratory operations, and procedures.
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position and pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least two years of experience supervising or leading a team.
• ASCP or AMT certification.
