Supervisor, MLS Data Review (Medical Laboratory)

What you will do

• Manage daily staffing, scheduling, sample run schedules, and production workflow.
• Ensure samples are processed, accounted for, and reviewed accurately in laboratory information systems.
• Monitor turnaround times, investigate laboratory errors and nonconformances, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain SOPs and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead new-hire training, shift meetings, performance reviews, and team development.
• Escalate laboratory and personnel issues, collaborate with operations, accessioning, engineering, statistics, R&D, and support teams, and act as the manager’s point of contact when needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist or equivalent in a clinical laboratory environment.
• BS or BA in Biological Sciences, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Current ASCP board certification in Medical Technology, California State CLS license, or CGMBS license.
• Proven leadership experience with strong interpersonal, communication, troubleshooting, computer, pipetting, data management, and word-processing skills.
• Ability to work with protected health information and complete HIPAA, security, and compliance training within the required timeframe.
• Must pass a post-offer criminal background check.
