Manager, Procurement

Location: On-site in Anaheim, California; Palm Bay, Florida; Northampton, Massachusetts; Millersville, Maryland; Camden, New Jersey; or Herndon, Virginia

Salary: $100,500–$186,500 annually

What you will do

• Lead material procurement and strategic execution for the metal fabrication category across Maritime Sector programs.
• Manage procurement processes, systems, metrics, risk strategies, compliance, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Identify and develop strategic suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost, schedule, and technical performance goals.
• Support strategic business pursuits, large negotiations, long-term planning, and supply chain initiatives.
• Build and lead a high-performing procurement team through staffing, training, talent management, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with functional teams and drive procurement and expediting performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree with at least 7 years, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 10–12 or more years of purchasing experience in an MRP/ERP-driven manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP and CostPoint, negotiations, contracts, terms and conditions, and agreement-related matters.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation, product configuration, defense supply chain, and FAR/DFARS purchasing processes.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, leadership, and supplier-management skills.
• Applicants may need to be U.S. citizens to obtain a required security clearance; employment may include government investigations, background checks, and drug testing.

Nice to have

• Government or FAR buying-environment experience.
• Experience with metal fabrication commodities.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
