Phlebotomist ICC Part Time

What you will do

• Collect blood and other specimens according to age-related standards and provide post-phlebotomy patient care.
• Perform waived and moderate-complexity diagnostic testing, document results, and report them to providers.
• Perform EKG procedures for outpatient, preoperative, and convenient-care inpatient patients.
• Complete quality control, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and instrument accuracy verification.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff, nurses, providers, and other departments to prioritize testing and support patient care.
• Respond to customer calls, communicate test results accurately, and identify situations requiring medical assistance.

Requirements

• Phlebotomy experience or graduation from a college-approved phlebotomy program.
• High school diploma or equivalent and education documentation required under CLIA guidelines.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work at multiple satellite locations and participate in holiday, weekend, and on-call rotations.
• Ability to follow laboratory procedures, patient-identification standards, handwashing requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

Nice to have

• EKG experience or graduation from a college-approved EKG program.
• Previous laboratory experience.
