2027 Summer Corporate Intern - Information Technology

Location: Onsite five days a week in Peoria, East Peoria, or Mossville, Illinois; Irving, Texas; or Tucson, Arizona. Relocation is required for the internship duration and available for this position.

Salary: $22.50–$40.25 per hour.

What you will do

• Assist with developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading IT solutions, systems, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with IT teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and document business requirements.
• Research emerging technologies and provide recommendations, including work involving automation, AI, and machine learning.
• Create technical documentation and user guides.
• Perform data analysis and generate reports to support decision-making.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited university or college in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or a related technical field at the time of application and throughout the program.
• Must have 15 completed semester hours before the internship starts; transfer students must have 12 semester hours completed at a four-year university.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA at the current institution, with no rounding.
• Must be able to relocate to the indicated work location for the internship and commute daily using reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of one or more of Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript, plus software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and understanding of modern web application development concepts.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and basic SQL and database management knowledge, including MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Understanding of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems, as well as TCP/IP, DNS, and networking protocols.
• Exposure to scripting, automation, APIs, AI, machine learning, or infrastructure automation, with strong written and verbal communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience involving group organization or collaboration.
• Project experience and relevant internship or work experience.
• Strong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills.
• Ability to clearly articulate and summarize analytical data for leadership.
