2027 Sophomore Internship Program - Software Engineer Intern (Fintech)

Location: US - Foster City, CA; hybrid, with at least 3 days in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time. Work authorization in the United States is required; hirify.global sponsorship is not available and future sponsorship will not be considered.

Estimated hourly rate: $46–$50 USD.

What you will do

• Contribute to hirify.global technology projects during a 12-week sophomore internship.
• Build self-service deployment capabilities for Kafka clusters using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop chatbots, mobile banking app infrastructure, automated payment prototypes, and usability improvements.
• Create automation, testing, and visual monitoring tools to identify system errors and transactional issues.
• Design, code, and test software for routing digital currency transactions while learning secure coding practices.
• Support full software lifecycle activities and present project achievements and recommendations to hirify.global leaders.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
• Expected graduation between December 2028 and August 2029.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in one or more of Java, C, C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or HTML.
• Experience with automation or testing tools such as Selenium, REST, Python, or Groovy.
• Familiarity with software testing principles and strong understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
• Ability to document processes and perform analysis.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and handle ambiguity effectively.
• Collaborative, team-oriented, motivated, resourceful, and results-focused approach.
