2027 Sophomore Internship Program - Software Engineer Intern, Bellevue

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; hybrid with at least 3 days in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Estimated hourly rate: $41–$45 USD.

What you will do

• Contribute to hirify.global technology projects aligned with professional interests and career goals.
• Work on self-service Kafka cluster deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop natural language chatbots, mobile banking app factory solutions, and monitoring tools for transactional issues.
• Prototype automated gas-station payments and enhance hirify.global Checkout usability across platforms.
• Create testing tools, automate processes with low-latency algorithms, and support software lifecycle activities.
• Design, code, and test software solutions for routing digital currency transactions while learning secure coding practices.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
• Graduating between December 2028 and August 2029.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in one or more of Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or HTML.
• Experience with automation or testing tools such as Selenium, REST, Python, or Groovy.
• Familiarity with software testing principles and strong understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
• Ability to document processes and perform analysis.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and handle ambiguity effectively.
