Software Engineer, Intern - 2027 Austin, TX (Fintech)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office, plus 5–10% travel.

Estimated hourly rate: $39–$46 USD.

What you will do

• Contribute to meaningful software engineering projects within hirify.global’s technology teams.
• Build self-service deployment solutions for Kafka clusters using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop natural-language chatbots, mobile banking app factory solutions, and visual monitoring tools.
• Prototype automated payment solutions and enhance hirify.global Checkout usability across platforms.
• Create testing tools, automate processes using low-latency algorithms, and identify transactional or system errors.
• Design, code, and test software for routing digital currency transactions while supporting the full software lifecycle and learning secure coding practices.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
• Graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in one or more of Java, C, C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or HTML.
• Experience with automation or testing tools such as Selenium, REST, Python, or Groovy.
• Familiarity with software testing principles and strong understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
• Ability to document processes and perform analysis.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and handle ambiguity effectively.
