Senior Accountant

Location: San Francisco, New York, London, or Berlin. Employees within a predetermined commuting distance of an office work in a hybrid schedule with in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday; employees beyond that distance work fully remotely.

Base pay in San Francisco: $120,000–$140,000 annually. Compensation outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location.

What you will do

• Support monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely accounting.
• Prepare financial reporting packages, presentations, fluctuation analyses, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Partner with FP&A to align accounting results with forecasts and business drivers.
• Lead or support process improvement, automation, and internal control initiatives.
• Build and use AI agents to automate daily accounting activities.
• Support M&A entity onboarding, audits, reviews, and other special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and/or high-growth private company experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and familiarity with FASB ASC standards.
• Experience with accruals, lease accounting, capitalized commissions, payroll accounting, and operational accounting.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, prioritization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Interest in using AI, automation, and systems to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy.
