Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care, Full-time, Days (Medtech)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. The role requires 2–3 months of onsite training and onboarding, followed by a telehealth model if a 90% telehealth fill rate is maintained. Attendance onsite is required at least once per quarter for meetings and physician-group touch bases.

Salary: USD 58–75.75 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide outpatient primary care through telehealth and in-clinic patient visits.
• Review physician inbox messages and convert appropriate cases to telehealth appointments.
• Assess patients, take medical histories, perform examinations, diagnose conditions, and manage treatment plans.
• Prescribe or order medications, therapies, laboratory tests, imaging, and procedures within clinical privileges.
• Educate patients and families, document care, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with physicians and other health professionals.
• Participate in quality improvement, research, staff education, mentoring, and clinical committees.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Illinois licensure as an APRN or Physician Assistant, with required national certification and medical-staff credentialing.
• Minimum of two years of adult primary care experience as an advanced practice provider.
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Eligibility to obtain controlled-substance and DEA licenses once licensed.
• Ability to complete onsite training in Chicago and attend onsite meetings at least quarterly.
