Software Engineering Intern (MedTech)

Location: On-site in Vista, California, United States

Hourly compensation: $25–$35 per hour

What you will do

• Support requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing across the software development life cycle.
• Develop embedded software, test procedures, software programs, and technical documentation.
• Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experiments, and evaluate results.
• Work with engineering stakeholders to define hardware-software interfaces and overall system performance requirements.
• Use software languages and platforms including C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, and Qt.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Exposure to programming, operating systems, embedded systems, or real-time controls.
• Familiarity with some of the following: C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows, .NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, wireless, software security, robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, or Android.
• Ability to work on-site in Vista, California.

Nice to have

• Understanding of agile methodologies and principles, preferably Scrum or Kanban.
