Software Engineer - Oracle Cloud Applicatoins

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States. Four days onsite at the Lafayette Court Buffalo location and one day working from home each week.

Salary: $80,900–$134,800 annual USD.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance Oracle APEX application components, workflows, reports, validations, and shared components.
• Write and maintain SQL and PL/SQL queries, procedures, functions, packages, and exception-handling logic.
• Support Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing environments, including schemas, users, monitoring, backup, recovery, and routine administration.
• Develop and maintain Oracle Integration Cloud Gen 3 integrations and REST APIs using JSON, secure authentication, and standardized error handling.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, releases, deployments, rollbacks, defect resolution, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with technical and business partners while following security, risk, regulatory, audit, and internal-control standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree plus at least three years of systems analysis or application development experience, or a bachelor's degree plus at least one year of relevant experience; equivalent education and work experience may be considered.
• Professional proficiency in at least one relevant programming language.
• Foundational experience with application development, Oracle APEX, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience or exposure to Oracle ATP, Oracle Integration Cloud, REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, understand technical requirements, document solutions, communicate progress, and contribute to testing and Agile delivery.
• Must work onsite four days per week in Buffalo, New York, with one work-from-home day.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle APEX Universal Theme, interactive reports or grids, REST Data Sources, accessibility, workflows, or performance tuning.
• Exposure to Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, ORDS, OAuth 2.0, API gateways, Terraform, Vault, Functions, Data Safe, or database migration.
• Experience with automated API or UI testing, performance testing, Jira, Zephyr, technical presentations, or process mapping.
