What you will do

• Set the strategic direction, priorities, and operating expectations for Medical Affairs across international markets.
• Lead and develop Country Medical Directors while ensuring consistent standards of medical excellence and accountability.
• Translate global and international strategies into locally relevant medical plans and assess country-level performance.
• Partner with International Commercial, R&D, Global Medical Affairs, and enterprise functions on development, evidence-generation, launch, and lifecycle strategies.
• Ensure country organizations are prepared for launches and lifecycle events, including evidence, scientific narratives, external engagement, capabilities, and resources.
• Oversee scientific engagement, talent development, medical resources, drug safety, pharmacovigilance, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• MD or equivalent medical degree strongly preferred; PharmD, PhD, or another advanced scientific degree may be considered with relevant leadership experience.
• Significant senior Medical Affairs leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry across multiple European or international markets.
• Experience leading Country Medical Directors and geographically dispersed medical organizations.
• Strong experience influencing clinical development, evidence generation, launches, and lifecycle strategy.
• Deep understanding of European and international healthcare environments, including scientific, regulatory, access, and clinical-practice differences.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel internationally are required.
