Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer (Insurance)

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, and optimize ServiceNow across development, test, and production environments.
• Manage platform availability, stability, security, scalability, performance, upgrades, patches, cloning, releases, and disaster recovery activities.
• Configure users, groups, roles, ACLs, system properties, certificates, MID Servers, and platform components.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Flow Designer.
• Build and troubleshoot REST and SOAP integrations with internal and third-party enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, application, and business teams while providing technical guidance and mentoring.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT, software engineering, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow administration or engineering experience.
• Strong experience with ServiceNow administration, configuration, troubleshooting, operational support, upgrades, releases, and instance management.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, REST and SOAP integrations, APIs, and MID Servers.
• Experience with ITSM processes, enterprise technology environments, security controls, roles, ACLs, and platform configuration.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Certified Application Developer certification.
• Experience with IntegrationHub, advanced automation, additional ServiceNow modules, cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, and source control.
• Experience with performance optimization, platform governance, enterprise ServiceNow architecture, technical leadership, or mentoring.
