Full Stack Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, US

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 annually, plus a 20% bonus

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end features across APIs, backend services, and responsive accessible user interfaces.
• Develop and operate cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure using PaaS services, containers, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Build data-driven and AI-enabled product features using retrieval-augmented generation, tool and API integration, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop design.
• Integrate external market platforms, carrier and client systems, and vendor SaaS products through API-first and event-driven patterns.
• Apply test-driven development, automated testing, authentication, authorization, data protection, and privacy practices.
• Contribute to architecture, review code, explain technical trade-offs, and mentor in-house and partner engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering and supporting production systems end to end.
• Strong programming skills in C#/.NET or Python, API design experience, and strong SQL skills.
• Experience building modern interfaces with React or Angular and TypeScript.
• Hands-on Azure experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven and API-led design, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, Entra ID, RBAC, and secure coding.
• Experience with LLMs and AI-enabled solutions, test-driven development, automated testing, and maintainable system design.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or wider financial services.
• Familiarity with agentic patterns, prompt design, and AI solution evaluation.
