Sr. Full Stack Engineer I (AI)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States. Employment requires verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Salary: $160,000–$170,000 per year, with possible performance-based bonuses and additional incentives.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain web applications and backend services from user interfaces through APIs and data models.
• Develop live two-way audio and video communication, recorded video review and search, and video processing features.
• Build containerized software for edge and cloud environments that remains reliable under denied, disrupted, intermittent, and limited-bandwidth conditions.
• Develop mobile and wearable applications, including hands-free interfaces for field users.
• Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into user-facing features and build dashboards and administrative tools for deployed systems.
• Implement authentication, authorization, security controls, documentation, testing, and technical demonstrations for engineering and customer stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on full stack development experience with Python and TypeScript in production environments.
• Experience with React, FastAPI or Django, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, SQL databases, and preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Linux, Bash or Python automation, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS.
• Experience with WebRTC or similar real-time audio/video technologies, recorded video playback and processing, and offline data storage and synchronization.
• Experience with OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, role-based access control, secure coding, and federal security authorization requirements.
• Working knowledge of Android or cross-platform mobile development, ideally for wearable devices, plus strong written communication skills.
