Event Operations Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York City / Remote; periodic travel of up to 25% annually is required to support in-person events.

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually for roles assigned or hired in New York City, excluding benefits and other compensation.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of regional in-person and digital events.
• Develop and manage event project plans, timelines, budgets, and milestones.
• Source venues and coordinate contracts, vendors, sponsors, hotel arrangements, and audiovisual services.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, content, leadership, and executive stakeholders on event objectives and success metrics.
• Oversee registration, staffing, setup, troubleshooting, and attendee experience during on-site events.
• Measure attendance, engagement, pipeline, and ROI, then improve event processes and best practices.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of event management and production experience.
• Experience managing hotel BEOs, contracts, room blocks, and audiovisual orders.
• Strong organizational, project management, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage budgets and expenses, and maintain close attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and travel periodically to support on-site event operations.

Nice to have

• Experience negotiating venue contracts.
• Experience with Swoogo and Salesforce.
• Knowledge of and interest in information security markets.
