Auxiliary Operator

Location: West Wareham, Massachusetts, USA; on-site power plant role

Salary: $34.90–$46.49 per hour

What you will do

• Operate and inspect boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and other power plant equipment according to safety procedures.
• Monitor pumps, motors, fans, dampers, compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators, and electrical devices.
• Read meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify operational trends and potential equipment disruptions.
• Perform material sampling, chemistry testing, and water treatment as required.
• Safely operate cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts, and other heavy industrial mobile equipment.
• Support safe and efficient facility operations through additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of heavy industrial equipment operating experience preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and provide on-call shift coverage.
• 2nd Massachusetts Fireman license or higher required.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, lift or carry 50 pounds, work at heights and in confined spaces, wear a full-face respirator, and work in varying weather conditions.
