Waterjet Operator - 2nd or 3rd Shift

Location: Wallingford, Connecticut, USA; onsite warehouse-floor role. Monday–Friday schedule on 2nd or 3rd shift.

Pay: $26–$30 per hour on 2nd shift plus a $0.50 shift premium; $30–$33 per hour on 3rd shift plus a $3 shift premium. Job compensation is listed as $24.68–$33.41. Eligible employees may earn up to $750 per month through the gain share bonus program.

What you will do

• Operate CNC waterjet equipment for precision metal machining.
• Monitor feed rates, speeds, instruments, cycle times, quantities, and quality targets.
• Inspect machined parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, edit specifications, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Read blueprints, dimensions, machine instructions, and project guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse workspace and may mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Experience in CNC machining, preferably in a metals-focused environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of machining and fabrication processes.
• Ability to work independently on 2nd shift and follow safety protocols around heavy machinery.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing is required for employment.
