Project Manager (Utilities)

Location: Detroit, MI; local candidates only. Hybrid/onsite work is required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise technology and capital projects from initiation through deployment and transition to support.
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, status reports, and implementation documentation.
• Coordinate project execution across business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, consultants, and external partners.
• Manage scope, issues, risks, dependencies, escalations, contracts, procurement, and third-party deliverables.
• Track project financials, forecasts, funding, and budget performance.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment, governance, executive reporting, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• PMP certification required.
• 5+ years of project management experience supporting enterprise technology and/or capital projects.
• Experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives, including infrastructure, software implementation, system integration, or enterprise application projects.
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, third-party service providers, project budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, and procurement activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Nice to have

• Utility industry experience, including electric, gas, generation, distribution, transmission, or corporate utility operations.
• IBM Maximo experience supporting enterprise asset management, utility operations, work management, or capital project environments.
