Principal, Strategic Projects and Vendor Manger

Location: Tempe, Arizona; on-site at the San Diego headquarters or another company location. Remote work may be permitted with management approval based on business requirements. Domestic travel of up to 20% is required.

Salary: $114,622–$160,472–$206,321 annually.

What you will do

• Evaluate vendors through RFI and RFP processes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Manage vendor contracts, renewals, pricing, service-level agreements, due diligence, risk assessments, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Lead end-to-end implementation projects from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closeout.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, define project scope, allocate resources, track milestones, and communicate status to management and stakeholders.
• Develop new service offerings, workflows, processes, and policies across stakeholder departments.
• Identify operational efficiencies, resolve vendor performance issues, and transition completed projects to business owners.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree and 9+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including 6 years of subject-matter expertise.
• Experience with vendor management, TPA offerings, sales strategies, and contractual best practices.
• Experience across systems development lifecycles and/or business process engineering methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, project governance, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work on-site at the San Diego headquarters or another company location; remote work requires management approval.
