Experienced Operations Technician (Offshore Oil and Gas)

Location: Galliano, Louisiana, with offshore assignments on Gulf of America deepwater production facilities. The role requires a 14-and-14 offshore rotation with 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays. Relocation will not be considered.

What you will do

• Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain offshore production process and utility systems.
• Operate and monitor SCADA and control systems, review operating trends, and support peak reliability and efficiency.
• Perform well testing, record keeping, safety-device testing, and P&ID and field verifications.
• Create SAP work orders for inventory and work planning and prioritization.
• Perform crane and rigging operations while following operational excellence and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with employees and contractors to maintain equipment performance and support health, environmental, and safety processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of recent operations experience in the petroleum or chemical industry, with no more than a two-year absence.
• Ability to work the required 14-and-14 offshore rotation and 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience with process-system troubleshooting and maintenance, control-room operator duties, electronic instrumentation, and end devices.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and the ability to work cooperatively with employees, contractors, and customers.
• Valid driver's license and ability to complete required drug and alcohol screening, background checks, physical examination, and functional capacity examination.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in petroleum services, industrial technology, process operations, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of recent petroleum or chemical industry operations experience.
• USCG licensing or experience at a hirify.global-operated Gulf of America deepwater facility.
