Intermediate Financial Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Salary: $64,000–$80,000 annually, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Extract, compile, consolidate, and analyze financial data from accounting and information systems.
• Prepare financial reports and models for forecasting, trend analysis, and results analysis.
• Interpret financial transactions and events for business and economic decision-making.
• Identify issues, troubleshoot reporting systems and tools, and recommend procedural improvements.
• Collaborate with actuaries, investment groups, accounting teams, and company consolidation teams.
• Follow the company’s internal control framework while managing assignments of moderate scope and complexity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• At least three years of experience when holding a degree.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, manage multiple projects, and prioritize work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while learning new processes and systems.

• Working knowledge of investments, insurance products, premiums, or related financial areas.
