Technician Mechanical I (HVACR)

Location: Fully on-site in Sidney, Ohio, USA; Monday through Friday, first shift.

What you will do

• Follow engineering test instructions to evaluate compressor durability and performance.
• Install compressors and support compressor electronics for laboratory testing.
• Operate performance and life-test stands, data acquisition systems, and measurement equipment.
• Fabricate test fixtures and configure test stands and controls, including brazing, soldering, and wiring.
• Collect and review test data, communicate results to engineering and leadership, and complete project documentation.
• Prepare and maintain test stands, improve laboratory work processes, and perform general laboratory upkeep.

Requirements

• HVACR certificate or active enrollment in an HVACR certification program.
• Basic mechanical, HVACR, and electrical skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Associate degree and two years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, HVAC, electrical, or electronic systems.
• Experience with HVAC brazing and soldering techniques.
