Maintenance Technician (Facilities)

Location: Elmhurst, Illinois, United States; onsite at one main location. Set schedule, typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with on-call support as needed.

Salary: $29–$43 per hour, depending on experience and geographic location. Annual bonus eligibility may apply.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and basic installations for building systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspect and maintain emergency generators, UPS systems, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Monitor equipment operation, complete work orders, maintain repair records, and respond to service calls and emergencies.
• Escort contractors and vendors onsite and coordinate with site operations personnel.
• Apply carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, and basic cost-control skills.
• Follow safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, applicable codes, regulations, and building requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related maintenance experience or training.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to read work documents and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to work safely around building equipment and systems and complete OSHA 10 training within six months of hire.
• Basic computer, mobile device, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF tool skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work independently with limited supervision, and collaborate with team members, vendors, and internal customers.
• Ability to work onsite at one main location, follow a set schedule, provide on-call support, and lift or carry 50 pounds or more.
