Service Technician II (Commercial Food Equipment)

Location: Burlington, Vermont, United States of America; on-site customer service with travel up to 50%.

ITW Food Equipment Group designs and manufactures commercial food equipment for food service and retail customers and operates a specialized service network.

What you will do

• Install mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment and assist with advanced installations.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial food equipment at customer facilities.
• Interpret schematic diagrams, service manuals, and equipment operating sequences.
• Complete and document preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Manage assigned vehicle, tools, inventory, and service documentation.
• Provide customer support during normal business hours and occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus 2–4 years of electrical and mechanical experience, or 0–2 years of HVACR service experience with EPA certification, or a vocational certificate in HVACR.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read service manuals, mechanical diagrams, and schematic diagrams.
• Ability to use hand tools, gauges, meters, machinery, and power tools safely.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and drive extensively.
• Ability to work on-site at customer facilities in Burlington, Vermont, with travel up to 50% and flexible extended-hour coverage.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree or vocational certificate.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment.
• Industry certification.
