Maintenance Mechanic & Technician (Third Shift) (CNC)

Location: 4930 Kraft Ave SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. Onsite third-shift schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 p.m.–6:30 a.m.

Salary: $30.08–$37.60 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy wood-processing equipment, including Homag saws, CNC machines, and edge-banding equipment.
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities and communicate equipment issues that may affect production quality or schedules.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures for machinery and building systems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance records, project files, parts, supplies, and raw materials.
• Support facility compliance with local building and fire codes.
• Perform maintenance across plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in similar maintenance roles involving heavy CNC-style machinery.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use and troubleshoot hand tools and power tools and follow required PPE procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, bend, crawl, kneel, squat, lift, and work in awkward spaces.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and perform the required visual and physical tasks of the role.
