Senior Commodity Manager, Electro-Mechanical - Thermal / Heat Sinks

Salary: $142,000–$188,000 base pay per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain sourcing strategies for thermal and heat sink commodities.
• Analyze spend, assess suppliers, select suppliers, and negotiate contracts.
• Build total acquisition cost and should-cost models to understand cost drivers and validate sourcing strategies.
• Coordinate with Engineering, NPI, manufacturing, supply chain leads, and suppliers to ensure long-lifetime parts and reliable supply.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and monitor technology, quality, cost, delivery, savings, and project performance.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities, support target-cost programs, and mentor junior supply chain personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Engineering required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in networking, electronics or electrical purchasing, commodity management, or materials management.
• Strong program and project management, communication, team-building, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process variation reduction concepts.
• Understanding of assigned commodities, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Project and Access; CPIM, CIRM, or C.P.M. certification is desired.

Nice to have

• Experience with front-end power supplies.
• Master’s degree or CPIM, CIRM, or C.P.M. certification.
