Global Commodity Manager - Metal Fabrication

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA. The role includes domestic and international travel of approximately 30%–40%.

What you will do

• Manage assigned metal fabrication commodities and products globally, including supplier execution and performance.
• Negotiate master supply agreements, improve payment terms, and deliver material cost reductions.
• Define and communicate commodity strategies and implement plans that reduce total cost of ownership and supply risk.
• Evaluate suppliers, conduct supplier quality audits, and maintain supplier scorecards.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives covering quality, price, inventory, material availability, and lead-time reduction.
• Monitor commodity markets, technology transitions, industry life cycles, and material price variations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier quality, or operational management.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
• Experience with cost reduction, bidding, supplier negotiations, contracts, product conformity, and supply risk management.
• Knowledge of purchasing techniques, strategic supplier management, ERP systems, and preferably SAP.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30%–40% of the time.
