Senior Legal Counsel (Technology)

Location: Remote within California, Washington, Oregon, or Nevada

What you will do

• Support complex and strategic transactions involving data centre procurement, customer agreements, technology partnerships, infrastructure, and capacity.
• Partner with the Chief Legal Officer, executive leadership, and senior stakeholders on high-priority matters for the compute division.
• Lead negotiations with global technology companies, cloud providers, infrastructure providers, enterprise customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Advise on technology, data, privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity, and regulatory issues in strategic transactions.
• Support confidential special projects and help simplify contracting processes without compromising material risk considerations.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of post-qualification legal experience, including substantial in-house experience in technology, data centre, cloud, telecommunications, infrastructure, or SaaS environments.
• Admission and good standing in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-value, or strategically important commercial transactions.
• Strong technology transactions, negotiation, drafting, commercial judgement, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage significant matters across jurisdictions and time zones with independence, discretion, and professional judgement.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Network as a Service, telecommunications, data centres, AI infrastructure, or adjacent technology sectors.
• Experience negotiating with hyperscalers or major global technology companies.
• Experience with strategic alliances, joint go-to-market arrangements, capacity agreements, complex procurement, product launches, corporate transactions, investments, or acquisitions.
• Experience in a fast-growing, global, or publicly listed technology company.
