Head of Contracts

Location: Remote within the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, or Spain

hirify.global is a full-service contract research organization delivering clinical development studies from first-in-human through Phase III for small and mid-size drug developers.

What you will do

• Lead the Contracts Division, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and professional development.
• Prepare, negotiate, review, and oversee commercial agreements with clients, vendors, service providers, subcontractors, consultants, and investigator sites.
• Develop contracting strategies that support business growth, operational efficiency, and risk management.
• Provide pragmatic, risk-based legal and commercial advice and act as an escalation point for complex contractual issues.
• Drive improvements to contract processes, automation, templates, workflows, and contract lifecycle management systems.
• Report on departmental performance, resourcing, KPIs, contract cycle times, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in humanities, sciences, social sciences, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
• Qualified lawyer or equivalent legal professional with significant post-qualification experience.
• Extensive experience drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial and project contracts.
• Previous experience managing or leading teams.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work remotely from one of the listed eligible countries.

Nice to have

• International contract drafting and management experience.
• Extensive pharmaceutical or CRO industry experience.
• Experience managing a department’s financial aspects.
• European language skills.
