NMAC Systems Administrator

Location: On-site at Chidlaw Building and Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. Remote work and telework are not available. Shift work is required for 24×7 operations, including nights, weekends, holidays, emergencies, and drills. No relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.

What you will do

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, peripheral, operating system, and networking issues.
• Install, configure, optimize, fine-tune, and monitor servers, workstations, applications, and related hardware.
• Provide technical support and systems expertise to government, civilian, contractor, engineering, maintenance, and test community users.
• Create incident reports and collect system data for operational issues.
• Coordinate with other Mission Assurance Centers and support off-site activities with mission users.
• Manage hardware and software replacement orders, warranty claims, and related vendor coordination.

Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of directly related experience and 4 years of general work history.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, associated hardware, Windows system administration, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with virtualization, LAN, and WAN technologies.
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Current DoD IAT Level II certification or higher, such as Security+ CE, required.
• Ability to work on-site on any designated shift under a modified Panama schedule is required.

Nice to have

• Command-line experience with Cisco, Unix, Linux, or Windows.
• Experience with cyber and space operations.
• VMware VCP or VCAP certification.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and NetApp technologies.
• Associate degree in a computer-related field and understanding of network topologies and protocols.
