Logistics Lead

Location: Stratford, CT, USA; onsite in a production and warehouse environment. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional work outside regular hours for time-sensitive shipments and customs issues.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year

What you will do

• Own domestic and international outbound shipping operations for finished systems and RMAs.
• Manage customs documentation, export controls, Incoterms, HS classification, and country-specific import requirements.
• Manage UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight partners, carrier accounts, rate negotiations, and WorldShip/WorldPort workflows.
• Coordinate freight, palletized shipments, LTL, and bulk moves while resolving customs holds, delays, and carrier issues.
• Own inbound receiving, inventory intake, tagging, stock accuracy, cycle counts, and serial/order/tracking data linkage.
• Build SOPs, compliance controls, logistics KPIs, and scalable workflows while training and mentoring Logistics Associates.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of logistics, freight, or supply chain operations experience with substantial international shipping experience.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs documentation, HS classification, and U.S. export compliance requirements, including EAR and OFAC screening.
• Hands-on experience preparing commercial invoices and customs paperwork for international shipments.
• Experience with UPS shipping tools and processes, including WorldShip and WorldPort, plus carrier and freight coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and process discipline for serial, order, tracking, and inventory data.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move hardware weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping high-value electronics or computer hardware internationally.
• Familiarity with FedEx Ship Manager, DHL, freight forwarding, 3PL management, RMA workflows, reverse logistics, or inventory systems and ERPs.
• Forklift certification.
• Customs broker license or trade compliance certification such as CTP, CLTD, or CSCP.
