Logistics Lead (12hr Night Shift)

Location: Wheeling, Illinois, USA; on-site plant operations

Starting pay: $30.83 per hour plus a $1.35 shift differential

What you will do

• Coordinate daily work-floor activities and lead start-of-shift and end-of-department meetings.
• Plan loading dock operations and manage material flows for efficient plant performance.
• Offload and manage bulk materials, including soybean oil and vinegar, and maintain inventory.
• Lead distribution safety, training, development, quality audits, and improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with supply vendors and the on-site dedicated fleet, including pickup scheduling and recyclables management.
• Resolve operational issues, troubleshoot palletizer performance, and maintain communication across the organization.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the department.
• Strong interpersonal, multitasking, communication, training, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize work using available information to support plant operations.
• Ability to use network computer applications and electronic mail.
• Successful completion of training identified on the Technology Matrix.
• Availability for a 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule.
