Trainee Claims Adviser (Insurance)

Location: Fradley, Lichfield, United Kingdom. Hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Manage Goods in Transit claims from first notification through to settlement.
• Review evidence, interpret policy terms and contractual liability, and determine appropriate claim outcomes.
• Communicate and negotiate with insurers, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Work towards fair and cost-effective settlements while meeting accuracy, productivity, service, and client SLA standards.
• Maintain accurate claim records, provide updates throughout the claim lifecycle, and help resolve complex or contentious issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the claims team.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good planning, organisation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn and understand new and technical information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to ask questions and challenge information appropriately.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and commitment to customer service and teamwork.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; previous claims or insurance experience is not essential.

Nice to have

• CII qualifications or willingness to study for and obtain them.
• Previous claims experience.
• Previous training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
• Spanish-speaking skills.
