Senior Schemes Delivery Underwriter

What you will do

• Deliver underwriting components for new schemes and existing scheme projects across the UK retail business.
• Assess financial models and exposures, and create or review underwriting guides and policy wordings.
• Act as a senior referral point for complex underwriting cases and make portfolio-level underwriting decisions.
• Develop profitable growth plans, new products, propositions, and underwriting strategies for the Professions sector.
• Manage underwriting relationships and accountability for strategic broker partners while ensuring scheme governance.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with underwriting, operations, sales, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Significant underwriting and analytical experience.
• Ability to analyse data and reports and make confident decisions in complex situations.
• ACII qualification or progression towards it.
• Strong interpersonal skills, independent working ability, and confidence influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Results-driven approach, initiative, openness to innovation, and willingness to take educated risks.
