IT Operations Engineer

Location: New York City, hybrid; supporting the New York office and US region.

Salary: USD $70,000–$100,000 annually, with the actual offer based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

What you will do

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for hardware, operating systems, applications, networking, VPN, and authentication issues.
• Manage macOS and Windows endpoints through MDM, including enrollment, configuration, software deployment, patching, and compliance.
• Administer identity and access with SSO, MFA, provisioning, permissions, and secure access removal using Okta and directory services.
• Run onboarding and offboarding, including laptop and account setup, welcome sessions, device recovery, and access revocation.
• Track IT assets and licenses, manage equipment orders and vendors, and maintain Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack, and related SaaS.
• Support the New York office, endpoint security operations, documentation, global IT standardization, and automation of recurring issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT support or IT operations in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting macOS and Windows, with MDM or endpoint management tools such as Jamf, Kandji, Intune, or similar.
• Experience administering an identity provider such as Okta or Entra ID, including SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of DNS/DHCP, VLANs, VPN, Wi-Fi, endpoint security, ticketing systems, asset tracking, productivity suites, and video conferencing.
• Fluency in English and availability to support the New York office in a hybrid setup.
• Strong communication, service orientation, ownership, and accountability.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zscaler, Microsoft Defender, or other secure web gateway and endpoint security tools.
• Scripting or automation skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting remote teams, remote device management, AV, or live-streaming for company events.
• Relevant Jamf, Okta, Microsoft, or CompTIA certifications.
