Presales System Engineer (Data Platform)

Location: Remote and home-based in or near Marseille / Aix-en-Provence, France, covering the PACA region. Customer travel is expected around half of the time or more, with occasional trips to Paris.

What you will do

• Own the technical relationship across the PACA territory, from discovery and architecture through demos, proofs of concept, and technical closure.
• Build activity and identify new use cases and opportunities in large regional accounts.
• Position services and consumption models, including Evergreen//One and storage-as-a-service, with IT and finance stakeholders.
• Partner daily with Account Executives and regional channel partners.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFIs.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with the national Systems Engineering team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a field presales, Systems Engineer, or Solutions Engineer role, ideally with territory or multi-account responsibility.
• Strong infrastructure knowledge covering compute, virtualization, networking, data protection, and their integration in customer environments.
• Experience selling services, subscriptions, or consumption-based models.
• Senior, autonomous working style with initiative and strong territory-management skills.
• Based in or near Marseille / Aix-en-Provence and able to travel regionally; a driving licence is required.
• Fluent French and professional English.

Nice to have

• Enterprise storage experience across SAN, NAS, object storage, or data protection.
• Experience with an infrastructure, data-protection, or open-source vendor, or with a services company.
• Existing relationships with IT teams in the PACA region.
