Data Center Solutions Architect - Sales Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid at any of Vantage’s Quebec locations, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote; travel up to 5% expected.

What you will do

• Design customized data center solutions covering electrical and mechanical infrastructure, power, cooling, redundancy, life-safety systems, and white-space fit-outs.
• Engage with clients to gather business and technical requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership from concept and design through implementation and post-deployment support.
• Evaluate technologies, lead proof-of-concept initiatives, and oversee testing for performance, security, and reliability.
• Support pre-sales activities, including client presentations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, solution blueprints, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering, Construction, Operations, Commercial, Legal, Sales, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in a customer-facing technical or sales engineering role supporting electrical and mechanical data center solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing complex technical solutions in the data center or technology industry.
• Experience with telecom and networking.
• Strong data center infrastructure knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment; occasional physical activity and lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.
