Associate Director, Procurement BE

Location: Tongeren, Belgium; hybrid work with fixed anchor days in the office. Work from anywhere in the EU is possible for up to 20 days per year.

What you will do

• Develop and implement strategic procurement strategies for OTC, health and personal care, and pharmacy-related categories in Belgium.
• Lead annual negotiations with manufacturers and suppliers on discounts, bonuses, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
• Analyze margins, revenue development, supplier delivery performance, sales dynamics, and other procurement KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to increase growth and improve margins across the product portfolio.
• Collaborate with Retail Media, Category Management, and Demand & Supply teams on joint initiatives.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity while building long-term supplier partnerships.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or a comparable commercial qualification.
• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in OTC, non-prescription healthcare, or FMCG Health & Beauty.
• Proven negotiation and influencing skills, including experience negotiating prices and commercial terms with manufacturers.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with KPIs and reports, combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good written and spoken English.
