TL;DR
Senior SHEQ Advisor (Construction/Infrastructure): Supporting safety, health, environmental and quality performance across major construction, refurbishment and infrastructure programmes with an accent on operational guidance, compliance and stakeholder management. Focus on leading incident investigations, mentoring SHEQ Advisors, maintaining project risk registers and driving continuous improvement across multiple workstreams.
Location: Social Infrastructure - Thame, United Kingdom; engagement includes site-based and remote support across projects.

What you will do
- Champion a proactive SHEQ culture across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Support policies, procedures and strategic SHEQ objectives, acting as deputy to the SHEQ Manager when required.
- Coach, mentor and provide technical support to SHEQ Advisors and operational teams.
- Support contractor performance, compliance matters, performance metrics, audits and project risk registers through EcoOnline.
- Lead and support incident, near-miss and non-conformance investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and operational teams while driving SHEQ improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven SHEQ experience in construction, refurbishment or infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Experience supporting multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- NEBOSH Diploma or Level 6 NVQ in Occupational Health & Safety, plus IOSH membership at CMIOSH level or working towards it.
