H&S Advisor (Offshore Wind)

Location: London, United Kingdom; applicants must be UK based and already have the right to work in the UK. The role includes on-site HSE presence and oversight across onshore and offshore project locations.

What you will do

• Deliver HSE support across onshore enabling works, offshore construction, commissioning, and operations.
• Embed HSE policies and procedures into daily operations and contractor engagements, supporting continuous improvement and safety leadership.
• Provide on-site contractor oversight through inspections, HSE tours, audits, and follow-up of unsafe conditions and corrective actions.
• Lead risk management activities, including maintaining the project risk register and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, lifting plans, and Construction Phase Plan inputs.
• Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, lessons learned, and preventative actions.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including HSE UK, MCA, MMO, contractors, and marine authorities.

Requirements

• UK-based candidates with existing UK right to work.
• Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, environmental science, safety engineering, or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or equivalent Level 3+ HSE qualification.
• At least 5 years of HSE experience, including 2–3 years in onshore and offshore construction.
• Knowledge of UK HSE legislation, including CDM 2015, PUWER, LOLER, and MARPOL.
• Experience with audits, inspections, incident investigations, contractor documentation, and offshore installation activities such as foundation installation, cable laying, turbine erection, and commissioning.

Nice to have

• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification.
• Electrical engineering background.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification.
• Experience supporting marshalling yards, fabrication facilities, logistics hubs, or other onshore enabling sites.
