IT Project & Portfolio Manager

Location: Melbourne, Australia; hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: AUD $120,000–$130,000 per annum plus superannuation.

What you will do

• Manage assigned IT projects through their full lifecycle, delivering within agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Maintain portfolio governance covering project health, forecasting, revenue, margins, resource utilisation, backlog, and delivery risks.
• Monitor financial and commercial performance, including revenue recognition, cost overruns, margins, forecasts, and month-end requirements.
• Produce portfolio reports and facilitate project health reviews, escalating risks, issues, and corrective actions where needed.
• Partner with customers, Services, Finance, Sales, Delivery Leads, and resource teams on project delivery and sales-to-delivery handovers.
• Drive consistent project and portfolio processes, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of project management, portfolio management, or delivery experience in a Professional Services environment.
• Experience managing large, complex, or multi-year IT projects and overseeing multiple projects across a broader portfolio.
• Strong capability in project governance, financial performance, forecasting, resource management, and delivery risk.
• Strong project planning, execution, risk management, change management, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Experience in technology environments, ideally involving Microsoft Azure, Digital Workplace, Security, or other cloud technologies.
• Professional-level English written and verbal communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification.
• Established project management methodologies and tools experience.
