FP&A Analyst (Fintech)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid work with attendance at the London office 2–3 days per week. Working from abroad is available for up to 120 days per year, subject to having the right to work in the country of choice.

What you will do

• Analyse product performance against plan across lending, savings and current accounts.
• Investigate P&L and balance-sheet variances and explain the underlying drivers.
• Build narratives that clarify product economics and financial performance for stakeholders.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities and support planning discussions.
• Develop scenario analyses and forward-looking projections for product teams.
• Work with FP&A and product colleagues to test assumptions, manage competing requests and improve decision-making.

Requirements

• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Hands-on experience in FP&A, financial planning and forecasting.
• Ability to interpret P&L and balance-sheet information and explain financial drivers.
• Experience partnering with product or commercial stakeholders.
• Understanding of financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, multiple priorities and planning-cycle deadlines.

Nice to have

• Exposure to retail lending, consumer finance or retail banking products.
• Experience with credit risk, pricing, impairments or valuations.
• Familiarity with Anaplan or another planning system.
• Advanced Excel, SQL, Python or BI-tool capability.
• Experience using AI or automation to improve analytical processes, or a relevant finance qualification.
