Staff Engineer, Industrial Engineering

Location: Pasir Gudang, Malaysia; onsite at the WD Media Office

What you will do

• Optimize, plan, and analyze new machine layouts.
• Monitor equipment capacity and identify opportunities to improve bottlenecks.
• Conduct work and time studies to optimize production processes and equipment.
• Analyze productivity issues and recommend continuous process improvements across functions.
• Generate periodic statistics to track progress against improvement targets.
• Implement factory-efficiency projects and supervise, guide, and coordinate industrial engineering technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Analytical knowledge of industrial engineering practices.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Basic computer and spreadsheet skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Six Sigma.
• Hands-on knowledge of BRICSCAD and Microsoft Excel.
