Senior Legal Counsel

Location: Glendale, Arizona; Boca Raton, Florida; or Herndon, Virginia, United States. Hybrid arrangement with 80% onsite and 20% remote work. Domestic and international travel required at 10%.

Unical Aviation, a Satair company within Airbus Services, supplies used serviceable aviation material and provides aircraft storage and disassembly services through facilities in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Spain.

What you will do

• Advise operations and business functions on legal, compliance, and risk matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate sales, acquisition, procurement, leasing, consignment, and other commercial contracts.
• Manage closing documentation for aircraft, airframe, and engine purchase and leasing transactions.
• Support trade compliance, KYS/KYC, export controls, customs, antitrust, privacy, and business ethics initiatives.
• Prepare board and shareholder meeting materials, maintain governance records, and develop internal policies.
• Advise on commercial disputes, claims, litigation coordination, registrations, filings, and the global trademark portfolio.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• At least 7 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
• Admission to a US state bar and good standing.
• Experience managing complex legal projects and transactions, drafting and negotiating contracts, and applying corporate compliance and contract law.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with aviation-product sales, leasing, procurement, aircraft purchases, or engine leasing.
• Experience designing and managing corporate governance and compliance policies.
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools.
